Linguana CLI and app templates
The new @linguanahq/cli package creates complete multilingual apps and connects apps to your Linguana account from the terminal. It runs on Node.js 22.12 or later, or Bun, and is MIT licensed.
npx @linguanahq/cli create appAdded
- 15 standalone app templates. A blog (Elsewhere), a SaaS landing page (Relay), and a storefront (Common Goods), each in React, Vue, Svelte, SolidJS, and TanStack Start. Every app includes responsive layouts, local illustrations, language persistence, Arabic right-to-left support, and Cloudflare and static or Node deployment configuration. See Create an app.
- Demo mode. Try a working app with bundled English, French, Spanish, and Arabic translations. No account and no Linguana API requests.
- Browser sign-in for the terminal.
linguana loginuses a device authorization flow: confirm the code in your browser and approve the terminal.--no-browsersupports remote shells. See Sign in from the terminal. - Guided project connection.
create app --connectandlinkchoose or create an organization and project, enable languages for new projects, and writelinguana.jsonand an ignored.env.local. See Connect an existing app. - Per-environment credentials.
env pull --environment stagingorproductionwrites matching build and browser values, reusing valid tokens. - Setup checks.
linguana doctorverifies packages, Vite plugin order, linkage, session, environment files, and token scope. See Check your setup. - Automation support. Every command runs noninteractively with
--yesand--json, with documented exit codes. See Scripts and CI.
Safety by default
- Creating or connecting an app never starts paid translation and never publishes a catalog.
- The CLI account session stays outside your project, per API origin. Build tokens go only into ignored environment files, never into
VITE_variables. - Existing environment values are never overwritten without confirmation or
--overwrite-env. - Interrupted setup resumes with
linkwithout creating duplicate projects or rotating unrelated tokens.
Supported frameworks
Templates, link, and doctor support React, Vue, Svelte, SolidJS, and TanStack Start on Vite. Next.js uses its own integration and is not yet supported by the CLI.
Create a multilingual app in one command, sign in from your terminal, and connect apps to projects.
